There are some "help" functions in google spreadsheets that are indeed helpful. Also, by putting your specific formatting or function question into google and adding "google spreadsheets" you can often find a user generated answer in the google spreadsheet "forums".
The numbers used here are all expense items, there is no revenue projection for this business? Also there is no total line. Try re-doing this again for next week.
Do you think an artist exhibiting works at a gallery consults with the gallery owner on pricing? And recall your original target market assignment--do you think the buyers of art in your target market will spend an average of $100,000 per work of art? $10,000? $1,000? $100? $10?
"Total revenue is dependent on artist pricing of work, amount of work sold, # of artists represented, and # of artists needing consult"
This statement is not allowed. Please make a reasonable assumption on art pricing based on your target market and revise and re-submit your 12 month budget.
Slightly better. Format all numbers so that they have commas and the first and last lines should have dollar signs. Add a totals column for the year on the right hand side and subtract total expenses from total revenues for a net profit/(loss) line at the bottom.
Create the revenues estimate using the model guidelines I gave earlier: number of works of art sold per month, * average price per work of art, * net commission. Commissions for art galleries are 50%. If you want to add a "consulting revenues" line to that revenue projection model estimate the number of hours each month of consulting services that you think you can sell using logical and realistic estimates per month. Add this to the above revenues model.
This is the final week for this assignment, as was discussed in class.
